Medically Validated UK-wide Employee Health Screening
Employee Health Screening is an excellent way to identify employees who may be at risk of serious cardiovascular issues.
These one-to-one assessments involve a small finger-prick to draw a blood sample, which is then analysed in minutes to produce the employee’s cholesterol and blood glucose scores.
These are both key indicators of cardiovascular health, as unmanaged levels can contribute to cardiovascular conditions such as type-2 diabetes, heart attacks and strokes.

How do Health Screens work?
Blood Pressure Testing
Employees will use our medically-validated blood pressure monitors to get an accurate score, printed out on a small slip of paper.
Cholesterol & Glucose Checks
Next, our practitioner will perform a small finger-prick blood test on the employee to get cholesterol and blood glucose scores.
Body Composition Scales (20-Minute Screening Only)
Employees will then step onto our medically-validated body composition scales. These pass a small (it can’t even be felt) electric signal through the legs – in just a few seconds – to measure body fat, muscle mass and more.
Review and Lifestyle Advice
Our practitioner will then go through the results with employees, helping them plot their scores on our tracker sheets. Employees are free to share their results, or they can keep them private if they wish.
Retesting and Referrals
If an employee has high-risk results, particularly blood pressure, our practitioners will invite them back for re-testing later in the day. If an employee still has high results, they will suggest the next course of action, such as visiting a GP for further testing.
How does an Employee Health Screening work?
Cholesterol and blood glucose scores are risk indicators for multiple cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, regular testing can help employees identify their risk of illnesses such as heart disease, stroke and diabetes.
During an appointment, our practitioner will use a small finger-prick device to draw a droplet of blood from the employee’s finger. This is then placed onto a test strip and analysed using a medically validated testing device.
Our practitioners can then give employees their full scores, and offer specific advice and even GP referrals based on the results, according to NICE guidelines.

The Benefits of a Workplace Health Screening
Both of our health screening options include:
- Blood pressure testing.
- Cholesterol testing.
- Blood glucose testing.
Additionally, the 20-minute screening includes full body-composition analysis, which gives attendees stats such as:
- Body fat percentage.
- Muscle mass.
- Visceral fat rating.
- Metabolic age and rate.
- Plus more.
Our practitioner will talk the attendees through their results during these one-to-one session, allowing them to get highly personalised advice and goals to improve their future health.
Knowing these results, and working to improve them, can help attendees reduce their risk of a number of cardiovascular conditions, such as:
- High blood pressure.
- Heart disease.
- Heart attack.
- Strokes.
- Type-2 diabetes.
10-Minute vs. 20-Minute Health Screening
Our 10-minute health screening allows for up to 40 appointments in one day, testing:
- Blood pressure.
- Cholesterol.
- Blood glucose.
The 20-minute screening is longer, meaning fewer appointments are available during the day – up to 20 total. During this session, we run all of the same tests as the 10-minute screening, in addition to:
- Body Fat
- Visceral Fat
- Muscle Mass
- BMI
- Metabolic Rate & Age.
Both screenings include one-to-one feedback and goal-setting with an expert practitioner.
When choosing a screening option, the best question to ask yourself is: would you like to reach more staff with some key tests, or would you prefer to reach fewer staff, but offer more in-depth tests?
Is this an NHS Blood Test?
The finger-prick blood test approach is the same approach used in the NHS Health Check.
The equipment we use is all clinically validated, so you can rest assured that results will be accurate and useful.
It’s important to note, however, that this is not a full diagnostic blood test. If we detect abnormal results that indicate a risk for cholesterol or blood glucose, we’ll recommend that you visit your GP to get a full blood test (drawn from your arm and sent away for testing) for further investigation. This is the same process that you’d go through during an NHS Health Check.
Health Screening Appointment Format
We run our screening services as one-to-one appointments. This means that the attendee will be able to discuss their family history and any existing concerns or conditions in more detail with our practitioner. Similarly, the attendee will get personlised feedback and goal setting with our health practitioner.
Our health screening days can be run alongside other wellbeing interventions in the workplace, and work particularly well as part of a workplace wellbeing roadshow.
Can We have More Appointments During a Day?
Absolutely. We have a team of highly experienced and qualified health practitioners that can facilitate appointments in your workplace on the same day.
One practitioner can host up to 40 one-to-one appointments during a day, two practitioners can host up to 80, and so on.
If you’d like to deploy mass health screening in your workplace, just fill out the form below and we’ll get back to you to discuss format options.
