Movember is more than just a month of growing moustaches. It’s a global movement that aims to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Celebrating Movember at work is a great opportunity to have some fun, challenge yourself and connect with others for a good cause.
But how can you make the most of Movember? How can you get involved, get creative and get inspired? Here are some Movember ideas for the office that will help you make this month the most memorable one of the year.

What is this year’s theme for Movember?
Movember in the UK has a theme each year, usually focused on a specific aspect of men’s health.
The theme for Movember 2025 hasn’t been announced yet, but we’ll be sure to update it here when it is.
Either way, when it comes to Movember ideas for the office, you can’t go wrong by exploring the three core topics of the campaign: testicular cancer, prostate cancer, and male suicide.
1. Grow a Mo, Save a Bro
The classic way to participate in Movember is to grow a moustache and ask your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you. You can choose any style of mo’ you like, from the handlebar to the horseshoe, from the pencil to the walrus. The only rule is that you start the month clean-shaven and let your mo’ grow for the whole month.
Growing a mo’ is not only a great conversation starter, but also a powerful way to show your support for men’s health. You can also join or start a team with other mo’ bros and mo’ sisters, and compete for prizes and glory.
One approach we feel is a fun Movember idea for the office (especially for those who are challenged in the facial hair department), is nominating someone in the workplace to grow a mo’. Colleagues can vote to choose the length and style of the moustache and sponsor them in return. This works especially well if the one doing the growing is higher up in the business!

2. Host a Men’s Health Workshop
Getting the men in your workplace together to learn, share experiences and talk openly about health is a fantastic Movember idea for the office. It gives the men in your workplace the chance to raise awareness of important issues and hear from expert speakers, such as:
- Mental health awareness, including stress support.
- Andropause (‘male menopause’) awareness.
- The effects of smoking and alcohol on the body.
Our Men’s Health Workshop, part of our range of workplace wellbeing workshops, covers a variety of men’s health topics. The goal is to give attendees the tools and knowledge to make positive lifestyle changes, and is a really popular and impactful workshop to be run during November while Movember is in full swing.

3. Move for Movember at Work
If growing a mo’ is not your thing, or you want to do more, you can also ‘Move for Movember’. This means getting physically active and setting yourself a challenge that suits your fitness level and goals. You can run, walk, cycle, swim, hike, dance or do any other activity that gets your heart pumping and your blood flowing.
The idea is to move 60 km over the month, which represents the 60 men we lose to suicide every hour across the world. You can do it solo or with a team. You can also ask your supporters to donate per km or per hour of activity. Moving for Movember is not only good for your health, but also for your mood and motivation.
This is a great initiative to get people working together as a team and inspiring some friendly competition, all for a good cause, and with the added benefit of improving the participants’ health.
Tying in with the physical health aspect, you could also host some workshops or webinars for staff – helping to promote good heart health, for example.
4. Host a Mo-ment
Another way to join the Movember movement is to host a ‘mo-ment’. This is a fun and easy way to bring people together, virtually or in person, and raise funds and awareness for men’s health. You can host any kind of event you like, such as a:
- Trivia night
- Gaming tournament
- Karaoke party
- Bake sale
- Raffle.
The key is to make it enjoyable and engaging for everyone involved. You could ask for donations or charge an entry fee to help raise funds for a men’s health cause or charity. You can also use the event to share some facts and stories about men’s health, and encourage people to check in on their friends and colleagues.
5. Movember Mental Health Check-Ins
Movember Mental Health Check-Ins are a simple way to support each other by taking time to ask how we’re really doing. Once a week throughout November you pair up your employees and ask them to have an honest conversation about their wellbeing, both inside and outside of work. Just as International Women’s Day at work helps spark conversations around equality in the workplace, Movember provides an opportunity to open up discussions about men’s mental and physical health.
To make this easier and more casual, make the mental health check-ins flexible. They could be done over coffee, a walk, or even a quick video call if people work remotely.
6. Office Mo-lympics
Organise a range of office-friendly games that anyone can play. The games could be simple, quick challenges like paper plane throwing or chair races. Each team could wear the same stick-on moustache to represent their team identity. The events could be organised throughout Movember during lunch times and breaks to keep the energy fun and give people something to look forward to during the working day.
Here are some ideas to get you started. Your games don’t even have to be moustache-themed!
- Pin the Mo on the Boss – like Pin the Tail on the Donkey, but with a giant photo of the manager.
- Guess the Mo – show famous moustaches and see who identifies the most.
- Post-it Note Stick – who can cover a teammate in the most Post-its in 30 seconds.
This is a great way to get everyone involved, laughing, and participating, regardless of whether they’re growing a moustache.
7. Mo’ Your Own Way – Personal Ideas for Movember
If none of these Movember ideas for the office appeal to you, or you want to do something more adventurous or creative, you can also mo’ your own way. This means choosing your own challenge that is epic in scope and scale, and that pushes you out of your comfort zone. You can make up your own rules and set your own targets.
For example, you could:
- Shave your head or dye your hair in support of men’s health.
- Learn a new skill or hobby that challenges you mentally or physically.
- Give up something that you love or that is bad for you for the whole month.
So if there’s ever something you’ve really wanted to do, and you can help raise awareness for men’s health, the sky is the limit when it comes to mo-ing your own way. Literally, if you’re up for skydiving!
8. More Ideas for Movember Activities at Work
Movember is not only a personal challenge, but also a team-building opportunity. You can get your workplace involved in Movember by creating or joining a corporate team, and encouraging your co-workers to grow, move or host with you. You can also organise some fun activities in the office or online, such as:
- A mo-off contest where people vote for the best or worst moustache in the team.
- A dress-down day where people wear something related to Movember, such as fake moustaches, hats or shirts.
- A men’s health workshop where an expert speaker talks about topics such as prostate cancer screening, mental health tips or stress management.
- A donation matching scheme where your employer matches the funds raised by the team.
Celebrating Movember at work is not only good for morale and culture, but also good for business. It shows that your company cares about its employees and its community, and that it supports a worthy cause.
Conclusion
celebrate, make it an amazing month of fun, challenge, and impact. Whether you grow a mo, move for Movember, host a mo-ment, mo your own way or get your workplace involved, you will make a difference in men’s health and save lives. So what are you waiting for? Time to get planning!

Movember Ideas for the Office 2025 FAQs
How do you raise awareness of Movember at the office?
The simple answer is, the more you talk about the subject, the more people will get involved. You can do quick and simple things, like:
- Send internal emails around about the Movember campaign.
- Advertise links to men’s health and Movember websites on your intranet.
- Ask your workplace leaders to share their men’s health stories if they feel comfortable doing so.
If you work in a physical office, you could decorate communal areas (break rooms, reception areas, meeting rooms – even bathrooms!) with a range of different men’s health resources.
If you’re remote or hybrid, consider hosting virtual events such as workshops or panel discussions to ensure everyone feels included
Why does Movember matter in the workplace?
It is really important for all workplaces to acknowledge and support Movember. Men’s health, and more specifically men’s mental health, is an urgent issue that’s also often underfunded.
According to research, men are less likely to seek or access support for mental health issues compared to women. There is also a stigma around common male health problems such as depression, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer, which can result in it taking longer to diagnose and treat these conditions.
Running Movember activities in the workplace allows you to support awareness, encourage conversation, raise vital funds, and help males in your workplace take their health more seriously. Investing in men’s health at work is not only a morale booster, but also a sign of genuine care for staff wellbeing and the wider community.
What are some tips to help us fundraise more money for Movember activities at our workplace?
We all want to try to raise as much money as possible for such a fantastic cause as Movember. Here are some strategies to help your team maximise donations:
- Offer fun incentives or small prizes for top fundraisers.
- Encourage matched donations from the company.
- Promote your events on social media to boost awareness.
