Why Train with New Leaf Health

“This course was great! it covered such a range of sensitive subjects amazingly, giving me the skills and knowledge to now feel comfortable to go and apply this in my role as a mental health first aider.”

MHFA Course Delegate

“As an anxiety sufferer, I felt today’s course was very eye-opening, informative and reassuring. I have taken away knowledge to highlight “triggers” I personally struggle with and turn them into coping techniques.”

Managing Anxiety Course Delegate

“This course made me consider the process an event can have that can lead to stress, and techniques on how to reduce that stress. This reflection also helped me step back and see that I do have my own techniques that I would use but just didnt know I was! “

More Information on MHFA Champions Training

The MHFA Champions Course is designed to give attendees an active role in championing mental health (and MHFA) in the workplace. The MHFA Aware Course, on the other hand, is designed simply to give attendees an awareness of mental health in the workplace.

Anyone can become a Mental Health First Aid Champion, but it’s important to recognise that the role comes with certain responsiblities. For example, your employees may approach MHFA Champions to ask for resources or signposting. Additionally, you may want your Champions to promote an event or initiative you have planned. To that end, making sure that those who attend the course will have the time and resources to fulfil their role is crucial.

This course is available for a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 16 delegates. These limits are the same whether the course is delivered online or face-to-face.

The idea behind these limits is so that there are enough people on a course to keep the content engaging and promote discussion, without having too many people where learning can be diminished.

These limits are set by MHFA England.

This course can be delivered either online or face-to-face.

Unfortunately, we can’t run a hybrid version of the course (where some delegates are in person and others are virtual) – it has to be one or the other.

Yes, this course is the official course, certified by MHFA England.

All of our trainers are qualified MHFA England instructors with extensive workplace training experience.
